Welcome to the Kerrydale Clinic Information Page!

Rachel Litton

Hi, I’m Rachel Litton, and I’m so grateful to be the nurse here at Kerrydale Elementary!

Fun fact — I actually graduated from Prince William County Public Schools myself, so it feels extra special to now be caring for students in the same community where I grew up. After earning my nursing degree, I spent several years working on a medical-surgical unit and then in the emergency department before finding my way to school nursing. What I love most about this role is helping the students learn more about how their bodies work, especially those managing conditions like asthma and allergies. In the clinic, I strive to keep things comforting and welcoming, so students know they can come by for help, a quick question, or even just to say hello. Outside of school, you’ll usually find me crafting — sewing, crocheting, or cross-stitching — or taking part in fundraising walks with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, since mental health advocacy is close to my heart.

Thank you for allowing me to care for your children while they are at school. I can be reached at [email protected], or go to the Contact Information Page for my School Status, in case you have questions regarding your child's health.

    4. Ringworm - does not need to be kept home as long as appropriate treatment has been started and all sores are covered.
  8. Rash of unknown origin, with or without fever and/or behavioral changes - exclude until the rash has healed and/ or student has been cleared to return to school by their medical provider AND has been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.
  9. Refer to the Virginia Department of Health's "Communicable Disease Reference Chart for School Personnel" for other exclusions/information.
